Silver Lake Names Christian Lucas and Joe Osnoss Co-Heads of Investment Operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa
London, UK – November 16, 2010– Silver Lake, the global leader in private investments in technology and technology-enabled industries, today announced that it has appointed Christian Lucas and Joe Osnoss as co-heads of the Silver Lake Partners’ business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Lucas and Mr. Osnoss will be responsible for sourcing, arranging and managing investments across Europe and expanding the firm’s relationships in the broader EMEA region.
Mr. Lucas joins Silver Lake from Morgan Stanley, where for the past seven years he has served as managing director and head of technology investment banking in Europe. Mr. Osnoss is a managing director of Silver Lake and has been with the firm for more than eight years, most recently in its New York office. As they assume their new leadership roles, Mr. Lucas and Mr. Osnoss will be based in London, where they will lead a team of 16 investment professionals focused exclusively on technology investing.

Christian Lucas is joining Silver Lake as a managing director. As head of the technology group at Morgan Stanley’s investment bank, Mr. Lucas worked on a range of major capital raisings and merger and acquisition transactions in the European technology industry. He has served as an advisor to companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, Amadeus, ASM International, ASML, Autonomy, Cap Gemini, Dassault Systemes, Ericsson, Gemalto, NXP, SAP, Soitec and ST Microelectronics. Mr. Lucas earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and also has degrees from ESSEC Graduate School of Management and from ASSAS Law School, both in France.
Joe Osnoss is a managing director at Silver Lake. He is a director of Interactive Data Corporation, Mercury Payment Systems and Sabre Holdings and previously was on the board of Instinet Incorporated. Prior to joining Silver Lake, Mr. Osnoss worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on mergers and financings in the technology and telecommunications industries. He previously held positions at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting in France and at Bracebridge Capital, a fixed income arbitrage hedge fund. Mr. Osnoss graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College.
