Karen King

Karen King joined Silver Lake over twenty years ago and is a Managing Director involved in multiple aspects of the firm’s business, especially around deal execution and operational firm management. She serves as the long-time chief legal officer as well as the head of global human talent. Karen has been integrally involved with numerous portfolio companies over the years. She currently serves on the board of directors of Qualtrics and Relativity and previously served on the boards of Aras and Serena Software. Outside of Silver Lake, she is a director of the global asset management company, Franklin Templeton (NYSE: BEN), and is a member of Broadway Angels. Karen also serves on the board of Duke University and is a Trustee of the US Olympic & Paralympic Foundation. And, she is the past Chair of the board of Menlo School and of the American Leadership Forum – Silicon Valley. Karen has an undergraduate degree in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and also graduated from Harvard Law School.
