Mr. O’Neill has been a strategic advisor to leading technology companies and has extensive technology merger, acquisition, and financing experience from 15 years in the industry as a technology investment banker and operating executive. Prior to Silver Lake, Mr. O’Neill founded Bandon Partners, a boutique investment bank and was the CFO of two venture-backed companies. Mr. O’Neill was previously an investment banker with Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers. Mr. O’Neill holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas, where he graduated with honors.

Rick Stubblefield joined Silver Lake in 2011 and is a Managing Director and Co-Group Head of Silver Lake Waterman. Mr. Stubblefield has been at the forefront of technology debt solutions for the private technology and venture capital community for over 25 years, helping to pioneer both venture leasing and venture debt in the marketplace. Prior to Silver Lake, Mr. Stubblefield co-founded Lighthouse Capital Partners, which under his leadership, grew into a leading debt provider to venture backed companies overseeing more than $1.6 billion in debt and equity investments across five funds. Prior to forming Lighthouse, Mr. Stubblefield served as Co-Head of West Coast Investment at Comdisco Ventures. Mr. Stubblefield holds a B.A. from the University of California at Davis and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University.

Before Level 3, Mr. Choksi worked in venture capital at TeleSoft Partners and investment banking at Gleacher & Company. Pierre was previously an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he was one of the leaders of the European Telecom Practice, advising CEOs and senior executives of global corporations in the Telecom and High Tech industries. Pierre led several large scale transformations in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, in particular around the development of broadband/digital content services and enterprise ICT services. Ajei Gopal joined Silver Lake as an Operating Partner in 2013. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager in the IT Management Business Unit of HP Software, responsible for the product and technology portfolio as well as the overall success of the business. Before joining HP Software in 2011, Mr. Gopal was Executive Vice President of the Technology and Development Group at CA Technologies. Prior to that, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President at Symantec Corporation. Mr. Gopal also co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of ReefEdge Networks, a wireless LAN systems company. Prior to that, he spent nine years at IBM in a variety of technology roles, including Chief Technology Officer for its Pervasive Computing Division. Mr. Gopal began his career as a member of the technical staff of Bell Communications Research’s Applied Research Division. Mr. Gopal is currently on the Board of Directors and a member of the audit and strategy committees for ANSYS Inc. He also served as a member of the Cloud Computing Steering Committee at the World Economic Forum between 2009 and 2011. He has been awarded twenty-three U.S. patents over the course of his career and is the author of numerous publications. Mr. Gopal holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay and a doctorate degree in computer science from Cornell University.

Greg Hughes joined Silver Lake in 2011 and is an Operating Partner. Mr. Hughes has over 20 years of experience as a senior executive and consultant in the technology industry. Prior to joining Silver Lake, he was a senior executive at Symantec most recently serving as Group President, Enterprise Products where he had overall responsibility for the $4 billion enterprise software business and led the engineering and product management team. Mr. Hughes held other roles in his tenure at Symantec, including Chief Strategy Officer and Group President, Global Services. Prior to joining Symantec, he was Executive Vice President, Global Services at VERITAS Software. Mr. Hughes joined VERITAS after a 10-year career at McKinsey & Company, where he most recently served as Partner and founded and led the Software Practice. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Hughes was the founder and CEO of Granite Microsystems, an industrial computer provider. Currently, Mr. Hughes is a board member of Serena Software and LogMeIn, and was previously a board member of Art Technology Group and the Huawei-Symantec joint venture. Caimin Jones joined Silver Lake in 2011 and is an Operating Executive. He has nearly 15 years experience in both operational and advisory roles. He has worked in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East across the automotive, energy, financial services, biotechnology, and technology sectors. Caimin joined Silver Lake from Alvarez & Marsal where he was a Director in A&M's private equity performance improvement business in Europe. He worked with a range of private equity sponsored businesses including the operational turn-around of a UK based transportation business and the carve out and separation of a number of businesses from their parent companies, including managing the transitional services for Lehman Brothers Holdings in Europe. Prior to A&M, Caimin worked for Marakon Associates, a boutique strategy consulting firm, where he worked on a number of large scale, growth orientated, change projects in the financial services and pharmaceutical industries. Caimin started his career as a Software engineer in Ireland developing software to implement short messaging systems in Europe, USA, and Japan and he subsequently worked on large scale, energy infrastructure projects at Siemens AG. Mr. Jones read Electronic Engineering at University of Limerick, Ireland, and has an MBA earned from IMD in Switzerland and an LLB from the Open University in the UK.

Previously, Ms. Nah was CFO of GE Capital Greater China, where she was the key executive in charge of finance, treasury, and tax operations. She also worked with the management team to revamp strategy and worked on forging joint ventures and business development opportunities with large state-owned enterprises. Ms. Nah worked for GE in various business units for 10 years on a management fast track, in which, she spent 4 years on the Corporate Audit Staff (CAS), covering financial, process, compliance audits, and M&A work in Europe, the US, and Asia. Ms. Nah has a strong background in internal audit, financial reporting, FP&A, financial systems, and financial strategy and has spent the last 4 years focusing on operations in China and the rest of Asia. Ms. Nah holds an Executive M.B.A from Kellogg- HKUST and a B.S. degree from Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Jeff Schneble

Jeff Schneble joined Silver Lake in 2011 and is an Associate. Dr. Schneble has over 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship and technology development. Dr. Schneble was a founding member of the semiconductor consulting practice at Keystone Strategy, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies in the United States and opened the firm's office in the Middle East. Dr. Schneble has also founded three start-up companies, starting his first company while a senior in high school. More recently, Dr. Schneble has founded and raised seed funding for two high-tech start-ups, one focused on bioinformatics and one focused on applying machine learning to content filtering on the internet. As a technologist, Dr. Schneble has performed Ph.D. research on new forms of computing using advanced semiconductor devices. Dr. Schneble has published numerous articles on semiconductors and technology in peer-reviewed journals, and has also contributed to books on management, finance, and energy. Dr. Schneble holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Washington, a Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics from the University of Cambridge, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Babcoke ran technology development projects at Applied Materials and led evaluation of investment opportunities for the Spark Group, a technology-focused investment group founded by professors from UC Berkeley. He holds an M.B.A. with high distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School, a B.S. in Engineering from UC Berkeley, and a Masters from Stanford in Management Science and Engineering. Ajay Shah founded Shah Capital Partners in 2004 and joined the Silver Lake team in 2007 as the Managing Partner to found and develop the firm's middle market strategy, Silver Lake Sumeru. Prior to founding Shah Capital, Mr. Shah founded and managed the Technology Solutions Business of Solectron, a $2 billion business. Mr. Shah was the CEO of Smart Modular Technologies, a company that he co-founded in 1989 and led through its public offering in 1995. He managed its growth to over $1 billion in revenues and directed its acquisition by Solectron Corp. in 1999 for over $2 billion. Mr. Shah serves on the board of directors of Flextronics, TES, CMAC, Ingenient, Magellan, Mobile Messenger, AVI-SPL, Inc., Power-One, Inc., and is chairman of the board of SMART Modular. He is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum and also serves on the boards of Northern California Public Broadcasting and The Indian School of Business, India and is a Trustee of the American India Foundation. He has a B.S. in Engineering from University of Baroda and an M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University.

She has served a variety of clients, including multi-strategy funds, venture capital funds, funds of hedge funds, hedge funds, and registered investment advisers. As an associate, Ms. Au was responsible for the audits on various portfolios, including private investments, real estate investments, and distressed debt as well as clients that report under international financial reporting standards. Ms. Au earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in Legal Studies, with a concentration in Accounting.

Susannah Carrier joined Silver Lake in 2006 and is a Managing Director. Ms. Carrier heads fund marketing and investor relations for all the Firm’s strategies. She joined Silver Lake from Quadrangle Group LLC in New York, where she focused on private equity and hedge fund investor relations. Ms. Carrier previously was with Credit Suisse based in London, focused on private equity business development for the financial sponsor group, preceded by time with the technology investment banking group. Before moving to London, she had been with SG Cowen in San Francisco working on numerous public and private equity offerings for technology companies. Before graduate school, Ms. Carrier worked in New York in the international private bank of Citibank as a member of the equity investment strategy team. Previously she had worked at Bankers Trust Company in their investment management division focused on balanced portfolios for international institutional clients and in their global investment banking division focused on the airline, aerospace, and defense industries. Sahil W. Desai joined Silver Lake in 2012 as Deputy Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Silver Lake, Mr. Desai served for 10 years with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, ultimately reaching the position of Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division's Asset Management Unit, which investigates and prosecutes securities law violations involving asset management firms. Gordon M. Goldstein joined Silver Lake in 2010. He is a Managing Director with responsibility for global external affairs, including government relations, public policy, strategic communications, and media relations issues for Silver Lake as well as key public affairs issues for the firm’s portfolio companies. In 2012 Mr. Goldstein  represented Silver Lake as a member of the United States government and industry delegation to the World Conference on International Telecommunications. Mr. Goldstein previously served as a Managing Director at Clark & Weinstock, a government relations, corporate communications, and strategy consulting firm.

 

Mr. Goldstein is a former Senior Adviser to the Strategic Planning Unit of the Executive Office of the United Nations Secretary General and previously served as Co-Director of the Council on Foreign Relations Project on the Information Revolution and as Co-Director of the Brookings Institution Project on Sovereign Wealth Funds and Global Public Investors. Mr. Goldstein is a former Wayland Fellow and visiting lecturer at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University and was a visiting lecturer at the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency. He is the author of Lessons In Disaster: McGeorge Bundy and the Path to War in Vietnam, a study of national security strategy and White House decision-making which was a Foreign Affairs bestseller published by Times Books. A senior executive at Cisco Systems from 1993-2007, Mr. Giancarlo most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Cisco and President of Cisco-Linksys, leading the company’s overall product operating activities. As Chief Development Officer, Mr. Giancarlo directed the activities of half of Cisco’s employees, and was directly responsible for Cisco’s expansion into a large number of new markets and technologies. His first position at Cisco was Vice President of Business Development, where he developed Cisco’s merger and acquisition strategy and practice. Morgan, where he coordinated the global research effort in the electronics sector and conducted equity research for a number of technology segments. Earlier in his career, Dr. Chen conducted theoretical physics research at Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire ("CERN") and at the Advanced Product Research Development Laboratory and MOS-13 facility for Motorola. Prior to Silver Lake, Mr. Atluru was a Partner at Draper Fisher Jurvetson for 11 years where he spearheaded DFJ's cleantech investment practice since 2001 and its India investment operations since 2005, leading DFJ's partnership with Element Partners in 2005 to co-found one of the largest dedicated cleantech funds. Mr. Atluru has led numerous investments in companies specializing in renewable energy, energy storage, smart grid and energy efficiency applications, wireless technologies, and business software and services. On behalf of Silver Lake Kraftwerk, he currently serves on the board of directors of SolarCity (SCTY). In addition, he serves on the advisory board of the Cleantech Investors Forum and co-founded The Spotlight Fund, a non-profit dedicated to funding start-up educational entrepreneurs. Prior to DFJ, Mr. Raffaelli was an Analyst at Och-Ziff Capital Management in London where he focused on merger arbitrage and emerging market investments in the logistics and oil and gas markets. Previously, he was a Principal at Barclay's Global Investors Capital, where he was responsible for Energy, Utility and Chemical credit selections in the $5 billion Alpha Credit High Yield fund. Franklin Leong joined Silver Lake Credit in 2007 and is an Associate and Research Analyst. Previously, he worked in the Structured Credit Group at JPMorgan as a CDO Warehousing Analyst. While at JPMorgan, Mr. Leong closed over five CLO's totaling over $2 billion of loan transactions. He was also responsible for conducting performance analytics and risk modeling on over 40 CLO and Trust Preferred Warehouses. Mr. Leong also helped launch the performance analytics platform for JPMorgan's Structured Credit Group in London. Mr. Leong holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

He started his career at Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he worked in the firm's Restructuring Group. Prior to joining Silver Lake, Mr. Wittlin developed Sutter Credit Strategies asset management business into a $3.5 billion business as Sutter’s Group Head and Lead Portfolio manager of the unit within Wells Capital Management. Mr. Wittlin's 24 years of capital markets experience includes 11 years with Goldman Sachs in the Mortgage Department and the Principal Investment Group which purchased and structured distressed and sub-performing assets. Nikesh Arora was appointed to serve as a Senior Advisor in 2007. Mr. Arora is also a Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer at Google, where he oversees all revenue and customer operations, as well as marketing and partnerships. Before joining Google, he was Chief Marketing Officer and member of the Management board of T-Mobile. John Chen

John Chen was appointed to serve as a Special Advisor in 2012. Prior to joining Silver Lake Mr. Chen served as the Chairman and CEO of Sybase Inc., beginning in 1998. Under Mr. Chen’s leadership, Sybase was transformed from a mature technology company into a high-growth innovator that was acquired by SAP AG in 2010. Prior to Sybase, Mr. Chen held a series of executive positions at Siemens AG, Pyramid Technology Corp., and Burroughs Corp. He started his career as a design engineer with Unisys Corp.

 

Mr. Chen serves on the board of directors for the Walt Disney Company and Wells Fargo & Co. He has also served on the board of the CIT Group Inc. and as a member of the New York Stock Exchange’s listing advisory committee as well as the boards of several high-tech startups, including Beyond.com, Niku Corporation, Wafer Technology, and Turbolinux US.

 

Mr. Chen is actively involved in international relations. He has testified before Congress on U.S.-China trade relations. In 2005, President George W. Bush appointed him to serve on the President's Export Council. In 2006, he was appointed as a Co-Chair of the Secure Borders and Open Doors Advisory Committee. Additionally, Mr. Chen chaired the U.S.-China Policy Advisory Roundtable for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Forbes magazine recognized Mr. Chen one of the Top 25 Notable Chinese-Americans in Business. In recognition of his leadership in building U.S.-Asia relations, Mr. Chen has received awards from the US-Asia Institute, the U.S.-China Policy Foundation, and the California-Asia Business Council. For his corporate board work, he has been honored by the U.S.-Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation.

 

Mr. Chen is active in the not-for-profit community. He is a trustee of Caltech, a board member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, a trustee of the Brookings Institution, a national trustee of The First Tee, a governor of the San Francisco Symphony, and a longtime member of the Committee of 100 who served as its Chairman from 2009 to 2011.

 

Mr. Chen graduated from Brown University magna cum laude with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and was later awarded the Brown Engineering Alumni Medal. He also holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Guy Dubois was appointed a Senior Advisor to Silver Lake in 2013 following three decades of experience in the software industry. He previously served as CEO of Temenos, a global banking software provider. Before joining Temenos, Mr. Dubois was President and CEO of MACH Group, a hub-based mobile communications firm. He previously served as Executive Vice President and head of the global products division of Amdocs, a provider of software and services for the communications, media, and entertainment industries. Mr. Dubois joined Amdocs following its acquisition of Cramer Systems, a software company he joined in 2005 as President and CEO and led through its sale to Amdocs. Previously, he was Executive Vice President at PeopleSoft Corporation, where he led overall strategy, business development, and execution for company activity outside of North America. Mr. Dubois has also held senior positions with Vantive, Sybase, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He currently serves on the board of directors for Guidewire, Temenos Group AG, MACH S.a.r.l, and InfoVista S.A.  He is chairman of NewVoiceMedia Ltd. and serves on its board of directors. Miles Flint was appointed to serve as a Senior Advisor in 2008. He previously served as the chairman of Skype and the President of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. During his time with Sony Ericsson, sales doubled, profits tripled, and Sony Ericsson migrated from its position as a niche provider of mobile phones to a supplier of a full portfolio of products in the global market. Mr. Flint also had presided over the successful launch of the Walkman™ and Cyber-Shot® brand of phones. Prior to joining Sony Ericsson, he was President of European Marketing at Sony Europe while concurrently holding the position of Managing Director of Sony United Kingdom Limited. Before joining Sony in 1991, Mr. Flint held a series of marketing and product development roles in the fields of computing and telecommunications, first at ICL and then at STC following the merger of the two companies. Dave Habiger was appointed to serve as a Senior Advisor in 2013. He is the former CEO of the NDS Group, a leading provider of technology solutions for the digital pay-TV industry, which was acquired by Cisco in 2012 for $5 billion. Mr. Habiger also served as CEO at Sonic Solutions, a digital media software provider, where he was a leader in the industry transformation from DVDs to the distribution of film and television content via the Internet. Prior to Sonic Solutions he founded Providence Productions, a media production company. Mr. Habiger was named 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year by the American Business Defense and Advisory Council and in 2011 was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Dr. Kurt Lauk

Dr. Kurt J. Lauk was appointed to serve as a Special Advisor in 2004. He was previously a member of the board of management of Daimler-Chrysler AG. During his tenure at Daimler-Chrysler, Dr. Lauk had senior management roles in, and ultimately was responsible for, the global Commercial Vehicle Division, with annual sales in excess of $30 billion. From 1992 to 1996, Dr. Lauk was CFO of Veba AG (today E.on), a large, publicly listed energy conglomerate with revenues in excess of $35 billion. In this capacity, he was part of a team streamlining the immense business portfolio of the company and served as the management board member with IT responsibilities. Earlier, Dr. Lauk was vice chairman and CFO of Audi AG (from 1989 to 1992), the publicly listed passenger car unit of Volkswagen AG, where he also headed marketing for the Audi brand and was responsible for IT. Dr. Lauk received an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Kiel.

Mr. Lee is a director of eOn Communications Corporation, Linear Technology Corporation, and Vizio Inc. He most recently served a 12 year term as Regent for the University of California where he was Chair of the Investments Committee. Earlier, Mr. Lee co-founded Qume Corporation in 1973 and served as Executive Vice President until it was acquired by ITT Corporation in 1978. After the acquisition, Mr. Lee held the positions of Executive Vice President of ITT Qume until 1981, and President through 1983. From 1983 to 1985, he served as a Vice President of ITT and as Group Executive and Chairman of its Business Information Systems Group. In 1985, he became President and Chairman of Data Technology Corporation and in 1988, Data Technology Corporation bought Qume and merged both companies. Through Mr. Lee’s extensive business dealings both in the U.S. and overseas, he has cultivated many strong business ties in Asia, especially China. Born in China, Mr. Lee holds an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering and B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University and a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Mark Lewis was appointed to serve as a Senior Advisor in 2012. He has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry focused primarily in the software and storage technology sectors. As a senior executive for EMC from 2002-2012, Mr. Lewis served in multiple capacities including CTO, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Development Officer, and EVP/GM of EMC Software. During his tenure as CDO/CTO, he formed EMC’s Technology Ventures Group, the EMC Innovation Network, opened new engineering centers of excellence in India and China, and led EMC’s security initiative. Mr. Lewis helped to orchestrate over 31 acquisitions for EMC, transforming EMC's business model from a systems-focused provider to a primarily software and services-based company. Mr. Lewis started his career at Digital Equipment Corporation and held a variety of engineering and management positions in the storage division. Mr. Lewis ultimately became the VP and GM of the Storage Division at Compaq Computer, leading the world’s 2nd largest storage organization behind EMC. Mr. Lewis holds eight U.S. patents in storage technology. He currently serves on the boards of Riverbed Systems and Contrail Systems and is the co-founder of TekRocket LLC, an angel investing, incubation, and strategic consulting firm. Jason Rosenthal

Jason Rosenthal joined Silver Lake in 2012 and is an Senior Advisor. Previously he served as Executive Vice President of Products at Glam Media, where he oversaw product strategy, product marketing, and business development. He joined Glam Media through the company's acquisition of Ning Inc., where he was the CEO. As the CEO of Ning, Mr. Rosenthal led a highly successful transition to a subscription-based business model that increased Ning's paying customers from 17,000 to more than 100,000 in just over a year. Prior to Ning, Mr. Rosenthal was Vice President of Hewlett Packard Software's Business Service Automation product line, the fastest growing business within HP, through its $1.65 billion acquisition of Opsware, which he joined as the first employee in 1999. As Senior Vice President and General Manager of Opsware's Server Automation Products, Mr. Rosenthal led all aspects of product development, marketing, and engineering for the company's flagship product line that generated $150 million in annual revenue. Before Opsware and Loudcloud (Opsware's predecessor company), Mr. Rosenthal served as Director of Product Management for America Online's E-commerce Platform Division through AOL's $4.2 billion acquisition of Netscape. Mr. Rosenthal holds a B.A. in history from Pomona College, where he also serves on the Board of Trustees, and received his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Prior to joining Inphi, Mr. Sohn served as President of Agilent Technologies, Inc.’s Semiconductor Group, which is now Avago Technologies. Prior to Agilent, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Oak Technology, Inc., a semiconductor company, from 1999 until it was acquired by Zoran Corporation in August 2003. Prior to Oak, Mr. Sohn worked as Co-President of Quantum Corporation, a data storage solution products manufacturer, from 1993 to 1999. He began his career at Intel Corporation beginning in 1983 until 1993. Mr. Doron has over 20 years of experience working with technology companies, helping to guide them from their inception through each stage of development, including capital raising, operations, competitive strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Doron was an angel investor and strategy consultant who helped facilitate the sale of Bristol Technology to HP, as well as the sale of Appilog to Mercury Interactive. He also developed and implemented an operational plan to stabilize costs at Enterasys Networks. Previously, he managed the domestic sales channel at Computer Associates and held senior positions at Cheyenne Software, Cheyenne Communications, and Texas Instruments. Mr. Hooshmand has spent more than 25 years building communications systems and solutions for wireless and wireline infrastructure. Most recently, Mr. Hooshmand was the President and CEO of AppliedMicro where he transformed the company into the leading provider of semiconductor solutions for Optical Transport Networks. Previously, Mr. Hooshmand held a number of senior executive positions at Cisco Systems including Group Vice President and General Manager responsible for Core Routing. In this role, Mr. Hooshmand was responsible for the launch of Cisco's CRS family of carrier grade platforms. Today these platforms carry more than 60% of the global internet traffic. Mr. Hooshmand began his executive career as an integral member of the team that built Stratacom into a global provider of switching platforms for data services. Stratacom was eventually acquired by Cisco for $4.5 billion. Mr. Hooshmand is the Chairman of the Board at Infinera and sits on the Board of Power-One, a leading provider of power and alternative energy solutions. Mr. Hooshmand holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Stanford University.
